The AI voice thing depends on the audience. I came across a channel in the NDE/religion niche with over 150k subscribers that used a real-sounding AI voice. But another channel in the same niche uses video of live testimonies of people talking about their NDE experiences.

I don't think faceless videos are a scam--quite the opposite. But like anything else online, it takes a lot of trial and error. I think one o the best examples of faceless content is Cold Fusion, which talks about tech and business stuff. The guy who runs it is great, and has over 3 mil subscribers.

For me, I've thought about using a seperate faceless YT account instead of my name, but then I want to use my channel to promote my books, so that wouldn't really work.

The hardest thing I've found is finding and sticking with one niche.
