No, because nothing worth something is ever easy. The same stats could be applied to a lot of other areas--business, sports, etc. Doesn't mean it's not worth pursuing them.

It also sounds like you're investing too much of your own self-worth into a relationship. You can get divorced or be in a great relationship and it doesn't affect how you feel about yourself and how you value yourself as a person. You can't outsource your validation to others.
