Good points. I found it's helpful to think of buying a car, and all its associated costs like maintenance, like starting a subscription. In which case my "senior vehicle," a Saturn, only costs me about $64 bucks a month. Way cheaper than the $700+ people are stupidly paying for now just to drive to the grocery store.
